Error code

30441: Toll-Free phone number verification rejection - Disallowed: SHAFT - Sex

Not eligible for resubmission. Stated by: Twilio error page for this code.

What this error means

The submission was read as sex-related, which is a forbidden category for US/Canada SMS and MMS.

Causes, most likely first

  1. Business or use case described in the submission is sex-related.
  2. Website, opt-in flow, or sample messages contain adult content.
  3. Stated use case conflicts with forbidden-category rules even if content looks clean.

How to fix it

If your numbers are managed by a platform

If your numbers sit inside a reseller platform, for example LeadConnector numbers inside GoHighLevel, you do not have access to the Twilio Console, and the interface shows the rejection without the code. Ask that platform's support team for the Twilio rejection error code, in writing, before you change anything. You can also read it yourself from your browser, which is faster: see how to get the code.

The substance of the fix is yours to make: the business details, the website, and the opt-in flow described in the Twilio path all belong to you, not to the platform. Make those changes first, confirm they are live, then ask support to resubmit. A resubmission filed before the underlying facts change will fail again on the same reason.

If you own the Twilio account

If the program really is sex-related, this number cannot be approved for US/Canada SMS or MMS, don't resubmit. If the classification is wrong, contact Support with a clear explanation of the business, opt-in, website, and samples. Review the use case summary, website, and samples for anything readable as adult content. For genuinely blocked use cases, consider email or voice instead.

Timing and resubmission

Content/Messaging Policy rejections are ineligible for resubmission. The only route is a Support appeal or a different channel.
