Error code
30479: Toll Free rejection: Justification required for more than 5 numbers
Correctable and resubmittable. Stated by: Twilio error page for this code.
What this error means
You asked to verify six or more toll-free numbers for one business without explaining why.
Causes, most likely first
- Six or more numbers requested for one business with no detailed explanation in
additionalInformation/ Console Additional Information. - Submitted under an ISV/aggregator rather than the business actually sending.
- Messaging to Canadian handsets with more than one number for the business, Canada allows one per business under the Canadian Code of Conduct.
How to fix it
If your numbers are managed by a platform
If your numbers sit inside a reseller platform, for example LeadConnector numbers inside GoHighLevel, you do not have access to the Twilio Console, and the interface shows the rejection without the code. Ask that platform's support team for the Twilio rejection error code, in writing, before you change anything. You can also read it yourself from your browser, which is faster: see how to get the code.
The substance of the fix is yours to make: the business details, the website, and the opt-in flow described in the Twilio path all belong to you, not to the platform. Make those changes first, confirm they are live, then ask support to resubmit. A resubmission filed before the underlying facts change will fail again on the same reason.
If you own the Twilio account
Resubmit with a detailed explanation of why more than five numbers are needed and how each will be used. Submit under the end business, not the ISV (unless you manage the opt-in and are sole content creator). For Canadian traffic, use one number per business. Make sure the rest of the record is complete and consistent.
Timing and resubmission
Correctable, resubmit with justification. Seven-day priority window applies.
