Error code

30482: Toll Free verification rejection - Business email requires an official domain

Correctable and resubmittable. Stated by: Twilio error page for this code.

What this error means

The business email you gave isn't on the business's own domain.

Causes, most likely first

  1. Business email uses a free or personal provider (gmail, yahoo, outlook) rather than the business domain, the dominant cause.
  2. The email domain doesn't appear associated with the business in the submission, the domain should align with the declared business_website.
  3. A free address was used but isn't published on the business website as an official contact.

How to fix it

If your numbers are managed by a platform

If your numbers sit inside a reseller platform, for example LeadConnector numbers inside GoHighLevel, you do not have access to the Twilio Console, and the interface shows the rejection without the code. Ask that platform's support team for the Twilio rejection error code, in writing, before you change anything. You can also read it yourself from your browser, which is faster: see how to get the code.

The substance of the fix is yours to make: the business details, the website, and the opt-in flow described in the Twilio path all belong to you, not to the platform. Make those changes first, confirm they are live, then ask support to resubmit. A resubmission filed before the underlying facts change will fail again on the same reason.

If you own the Twilio account

Change the business email to one on the official business domain (contact@yourbusiness.com). Make sure the submitted business website is live and identifies the same business and contact information. If you must use a free address, publish it on the official website as a valid business contact first. If the rejected request is eligible, correct and resubmit from Console or API.

Timing and resubmission

Correctable, resubmit within seven days for priority review. If you fix it by publishing the address on the website instead of changing it, the website change must be live before resubmitting.
